Originally from the West Country Anna Snell moved North to study teaching and spent 10 years as a teacher of English and Drama.
Since leaving teaching, Anna has worked with a range of cultural organisations, across the North East, devising and managing arts projects that reflect a range of disciplines including, theatre, dance, music, literature and media. Working for organisations, such as the Customs House, National Glass Centre and Arts Council, Anna has gained skills in arts management, fundraising and marketing, she is currently employed full time at Mslexia magazine as their Business Development Manager.
Anna has a passion for live performance in all its forms, having spent 8 years on the Executive Board for the Royalty Theatre Sunderland, taking on the role of chair from 2010 to 2014. She is keen to use her arts management experience to bring more diverse cultural opportunities to the people of Sunderland.
